3 Reasons Why You Would Love the Global Ambassador

Here's our city's answer to New York's Plaza Hotel. Although it opened last fall, the Global Ambassador has everyone buzzing. And for good reason.

First, as you drive up to valet parking, you'll see Lamborghinis, Porsches, and Ferraris parked out front. Who owns these cars? Someone inside the hotel.

Second, the lobby welcomes you with wood-toned walls, comfy leather seating, and fresh white flowers.

Third, you can order cocktails right at the Lobby Bar. Or get coffee or light meals at the nearby Le Market. You can sink into the nearby booths, or relax with your meal in the lobby itself.  I've had lunch there, and it is easy, fun, and reasonably priced.

But I highly recommend the food at Le Ame restaurant. Although it advertises itself as a steak house, I had a delicious vegan-style Nicoise Salad that rivaled any dish in Paris. It had the right balance of tangy and mellow flavors, with equal parts crunch and chewy textures. Since I ordered it without tuna, the chef kindly added some additional vegetable not on the menu.
